Austin Vicars is an American death metal drummer known for his powerful, precision-driven playing. He emerged out of the Detroit scene in Pick Axe Preacher and Pyrrhic, along with any other band in need of a drummer. After years of playing in Michigan he got his start touring in Illusion of Fate and Casket Robbery. Vicars has since joined forces with Narcotic Wasteland, debuting on the “Praise the Beast” Tour with Belphegor and Incantation. Known for his endurance, speed, and versatility, Vicars brings a modern intensity to Narcotic Wasteland’s blend of thrashin’ death metal. His drumming combines relentless blast beats with intricate rhythmic patterns, driving the band’s aggressive live shows and reinforcing their reputation as a force in extreme metal. Outside of playing blast beats Vicars can be found impersonating a jazz drummer and watching Detroit sports
